L’ingénierie produit avec son histoire : étape, fiche technique et chaque modification expliquée

Production Planning knows what the product is made of. PLM keeps why it is that way: which lifecycle stage it is in, the specification with tolerance, the approved drawing and certificate, and the engineering change that says why the bill of materials went from version 3 to 4, who approved it, what to do with the old stock and when it takes effect. The new bill of materials version is created directly in Production Planning, the new product moves through five decision gates and every component has its approved supplier.

O problema e a saída

As dores que Ingénierie produit (PLM) resolve todos os dias

Se alguma dessas situações parece familiar, é porque elas se repetem em quase toda empresa de formatura, até o sistema certo entrar em cena.

A dor

The product structure changed and nobody can say why, who asked for it or since when it applies.

Com o Partiu Formatura

Every change to a product in production goes through an engineering change with a code, reason, what changes, effectivity and reviews, and the new bill of materials version is created in Production Planning from it.

A dor

A component was replaced and the old stock sat idle in the storeroom.

Com o Partiu Formatura

Each affected product records the disposition of the old stock: use until depleted, rework, scrap or return to supplier. Effectivity can be immediate, from a date or when stock runs out.

A dor

Before replacing a part, nobody knows how many products use it or how many open orders depend on it.

Com o Partiu Formatura

The where-used lookup climbs the tree up to 6 levels, and the impact shows the parent products, the open production orders that consume the item and the stock on hand.

A dor

The drawing on the shop floor is not the latest approved one, and the product certificate expired without anyone noticing.

Com o Partiu Formatura

Documents with a version that goes up on its own and an approval that makes the previous one obsolete. Certificates and test reports have an expiry date, and the dashboard warns as far ahead as the company chooses.

A dor

The new product was launched without anyone formally deciding it was ready.

Com o Partiu Formatura

A project in five gates, with deliverables per gate and a decision recorded with a written review. Moving on requires the mandatory deliverables, and only the last gate moves the product to released.

A dor

The purchased part goes into the structure with no approved supplier for it.

Com o Partiu Formatura

Suppliers approved component by component, with status, manufacturer part number and expiry, plus a list of parts in released structures that have no approved source.

Na prática

Exemplos reais de como Ingénierie produit (PLM) trabalha por você

Situações do dia a dia de empresas de formatura, do problema ao resultado, usando os módulos que você vê nesta página.

01

The component swap with stock on the shelf

O cenário

Engineering decided to replace a component with a cheaper one, but there was stock of the old one and open orders using it.

Com o sistema

The impact showed the parent products, the open orders and the stock. The change was opened as a cost reduction, effective when stock runs out, with a use-until-depleted disposition.

O resultado

The old stock was used up, the new bill of materials version was created and released in Production Planning, and the product revision went from B to C, with the reason on record.

02

The change nobody approved alone

O cenário

The same engineer who requested changes also approved them, and the customer's audit flagged it.

Com o sistema

The company started requiring two approvals per change, and the module does not let whoever opened it review it.

O resultado

Every change now has reviews recorded by other people, with the history ready to show at the next audit.

03

The launch that stopped at the right gate

O cenário

A new product was moving into production without its validation test finished.

Com o sistema

The project was at the validation gate with a mandatory deliverable pending, and the decision to go did not pass. The committee decided to hold.

O resultado

The test was completed, the project was resumed and moved on to launch, taking the product to released.

Como funciona

O caminho que a informação faz em Ingénierie produit (PLM)

Cada etapa é um módulo de verdade, e o que sai de uma entra na outra sem ninguém digitar de novo.

  1. 1The product gets a stage and a sheetThe catalog already lists the manufactured and semi-finished items from Production Planning. Engineering sets the stage, fills in the technical sheet and records the specifications with tolerance.
  2. 2The documents are approvedDrawings, artwork, sheets and certificates are uploaded as draft versions. Approval makes the previous version obsolete, and the certificate expiry shows up on the dashboard.
  3. 3The change is requestedSomeone opens the engineering change with the reason, what changes, effectivity and affected products, after checking where the item is used and the impact.
  4. 4Others approveThe change goes into review and receives the number of reviews the company requires. Whoever opened it cannot approve, and one rejection closes it.
  5. 5Production Planning gets the new versionImplementation creates the new bill of materials version as a draft in Production Planning. Once the versions are released, the change is completed and the product revision moves up.
  6. 6The supplier is approvedEach purchased component gets an approved source with an expiry date, and the list of parts without a source shows what is still missing.

7 módulos e 34 recursos nesta página, o mesmo cadastro de turma, formando e evento sustentando todos eles.

Lifecycle and Technical Sheet

Which stage each product is in and what it must meet to be compliant.

  • Catalog opened with every manufactured and semi-finished item from Production Planning, with no parallel product record
  • Stages concept, development, pilot, released, in production, discontinued and obsolete, with a required reason for every change
  • A manufactured item only goes to released with a released bill of materials in Production Planning, a rule the company can turn off
  • Product revision (A, B, C) kept apart from the internal bill of materials version, moving forward on its own with each completed change
  • Sheet with product line or family, engineering owner, target cost, target price, planned launch and planned discontinuation
  • Specification by group, characteristic, value, unit, tolerance and test method, with a critical flag
  • Product history with every stage change, document and engineering change

Versioned Technical Documents

Drawings, artwork and certificates with version, approval and expiry.

  • Drawing, technical sheet, artwork, manual, certificate, test report, packaging and others, with files up to 50 MB stored in the cloud
  • The same type and title become a new version, with the number going up on its own
  • Draft, approved or obsolete status, and approving a version makes the previously approved one obsolete
  • Expiry for certificates and test reports, with a dashboard warning as many days ahead as the company chooses

Engineering Change

From the request to the new version released in Production Planning, with approval levels and segregation of duties.

  • Sequential code per company, type (correction, improvement, cost reduction, supplier change, regulatory, customer request) and priority
  • Reason, what changes, cost impact and effectivity: immediate, from a date or when stock runs out
  • Affected products with the source version and the disposition of old stock: use until depleted, rework, scrap or return to supplier
  • Approval with a minimum number of reviews set by the company, from 1 to 5, and whoever opened the change cannot approve it
  • One rejection closes the change, and rejecting requires a written review
  • Implementing creates the new bill of materials version as a draft in Production Planning, copied from the source
  • Completing requires every new version to be released in Production Planning, and the product revision moves up one letter

Structure and Impact Analysis

What changes if a component is replaced, with no side spreadsheet.

  • Comparison between two bill of materials versions: components added, removed and with changed quantity, scrap or type
  • Where-used, climbing the tree up to 6 levels
  • Impact of the change: parent products, open production orders that consume the item and stock on hand
  • Target cost compared with the standard cost calculated from the bill of materials

New Product Projects

The development funnel in five decision gates.

  • Gates idea, feasibility, development, validation and launch
  • Deliverables per gate, checked off when ready, and moving on requires the mandatory ones to be done
  • Decision to go, hold, redo or stop, always with a written review
  • Project with objective, budget, target date, owner and linked product
  • Going through the last gate moves the product to released and closes the project

Approved Supplier per Component

Who is approved to supply each part, and what has no source.

  • Component by supplier from the Purchasing record, with status approved, conditional, in qualification or blocked
  • Manufacturer part number, priority and approval expiry
  • List of purchased components used in a released bill of materials with no approved and valid source
  • Approval done from the pending list or from the product sheet

Governance and Permissions

Who looks, who maintains the sheet, who runs changes and who approves.

  • Separate permissions to view, maintain engineering data, run changes and projects, and approve
  • Checks done on screen and again on the server
  • A module separate from Production Planning: whoever plans the factory does not have to buy engineering governance, and the other way around
